SDA Church Prioritises Youth Leadership Education

Central Malawi Conference (CMC) of the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) church has said youth leadership education must be prioritised if quality leadership is to be achieved in the church.

Master Guide Happy Nyirongo made the sentiments on Sabbath at Machenga Seventh-day Adventist Church in the area of Traditional Authority Njewa in Lilongwe during an induction and investure ceremony for 2020 achievements classes.

He however, urged parents to take a leading role in collaboration with youth leaders to encourage their children to join their fellow youths in various achievement classes for them to have a solid base when they graduate into Master Guides.

Speaking during the event, Likuni District Education Coordinator Catherine Chalira said youth leadership education is vital foundation for the youth and as such parents must ensure that their children are attending the classes.

"When children graduate into these achievement classes, they easily cope up with church doctrines and become active church members," said Chalira.

In his remarks, the church elder for Machenga church Associate Master Guide Sangulukani Munthali, called upon departmental leaders to join Master Guide Class for them to become more effective when discharging their duties.
