Lingadzi District VOP Parade Shoots Target

The Lingadzi district Voice of Prophecy Bible school parade received overwhelming response as registered students outnumbered the projected figure before reaching the destination.

According to the VOP Coordinator for the district, Ebaston Mlundira, The parade that occurred on Sunday March 12th 2017 targeted to register 200 students but over 500 students were registered before the parade reached the set destination.

“This is a success. We have broken our goal. Our objective was to register 200 students at the end of the parade but you can see that registration forms are over before reaching our destination. We have registered over 500 students and we had to print extra lessons and forms to meet the demand,” said Mlundira.

Mlundira said that the committee will meet to map way forward on what to do with the areas that were not reached during the parade.

Linda Kachokam’manja, one of participants in the parade hailed the event, saying it gave her opportunity to bring people to salvation as she cannot preach at the pulpit. “I cannot stand at the pulpit and preach but this marching has given me a chance to preach to people by distributing VOP lessons. I am happy that I have taken part in having people registered to school of the Bible,” said Kachokam’manja.

Led by the district pastor Julius Chambwe and graced by CMC delegation, the whistle stop parade that started from Mvama SDA church and was destined for Gulliver ended at Area 49 SDA church.
