AMBASSADORS AWARDED WITH CERTIFICATES AT TAMBALALE CHURCH
There was an exciting atmosphere at Tambalale SDA Church on Sabbath, 23 March 2024, when 14 Ambassador club members received certificates after completing one of the requirement in Ambassadors class courtesy of Tambalale Adventist Youth department.
According to the Ambassadors leader for Tambalale, Master guide (MG) Bernadetta Thumba, Ambassador is a class in the Adventist youth (AY) department which consists of the youth whose age group range from 16 to 21 years. In her explanation, it was learnt that in this class the youths are expected to accomplish seven modules which are: Discipleship, Leadership Development, Outreach, Outdoor, Vocational Skills, Relationships and Community.
On this particular Sabbath, fourteen candidates in this class got awarded with certificates for doing better and for completing Module 1 which is about discipleship. This was conducted in order to give strength to the youth so that they should have a heart to work hard and to put more effort in their next assignments.
The happy moment was not only for the students but the teacher and parents as well because it was happening for the first time at Tambalale SDA Church.
"I am so delighted that this program has taken place at Tambalale and that our youths have been able to accomplish this module, I am sure that this will be an encouragement to them to work harder in the remaining modules," remarked Master Guide Bernadetta Thumba.
" We had many challenges in terms of how we were managing time to attend classes as well as lack of finances to accomplish our requirements in time and I just want to thank God for being there and allowing me to receive a certificate." said Brian Katungwe, one of the Ambassadors who completed module one.
The class commenced with 37 students but only 16 completed module one and 14 received their certificates while 2 were absent. This is a great achievement to the awardees and this called for a celebration at Tambalale SDA Church.
