AIRFIELD CHURCH MEMBERS URGED TO REFRAIN FROM ABUSIVE TENDENCIES

Airfield seventh-day Adventist (SDA) church Dorcas Women in Kasungu has challenged church members to refrain from all forms of abuse and report them to relevant Authorities if we are to end it now.

The appeal was made on Sabbath 24 August, 2024 by Airfield Dorcas leader Chrissy Kamanga during the 2024 end it now program commemorated under the theme “Go and search the lost Sheep” which was organized to encourage members to be strong and put their trust in God in ending all sorts of Gender based violence which is rampant among the church members.

She further observed that a lot of Gender based violence are common in families, villagers as well as from church leadership which go un reported which may lead to death especially men who are shy as such they suffer in silence.

In her sermon during divine service, Maureen Kasamba Mkandawire called upon the all church members to refrain from indulging themselves in abusive tendencies but instead they should join efforts together to end the malpractice.

“If one abuses the other it’s as good as a lost sheep that has lost direction but there is good news that Christ is searching for us that we should go back to our creator the good shepherd who is in heaven,” she explained.
