70 PEOPLE JOIN THE SDA CHURCH THROUGH BAPTISM IN LINGADZI DISTRICT

As Matthew 28:19 says _"go therefore and make disciples, baptise them", Evangelism department in Lingadzi District fulfilled it by calling 70 souls to Christ.

In a 21 day Evangelistic meeting which started on 29 May and ended on 18 June 2022 at Taiza village, 70 people were baptised in Lingadzi river as they were taught that they have to be baptised where there is more water.

In his speech, the main speaker Master Guide Evangelist Tithokoze Khonyongwa assured the participants that those who will surrender their lives to Christ will be baptised with the baptism that Jesus Himself was baptised.

Among the 70 people who got baptised were men, women and youth.

Pastor Davie Kanjadza who is Lingadzi District Pastor, in his speech said God allows everyone to choose between good and bad, and between God and Satan.

Kanjadza told the newly baptised members to do according to what they have learnt and believe without going back to their old ways.

Pastor Kanjadza also acknowledged the presence of chiefs including Senior Chief Taiza.

He also thanked retired Pastor Makhaya Nkhala who did a commendable job in baptising these people saying he is learning from him as he works from his retirement.

Senior Chief Taiza requested the church leadership to continue visiting him and his people hoping that next could be them to be baptised.

Evangelist Micah Khoza who is the Evangelism coordinator in the district said this is the plan of the Church to take this message to every village in the district.

He added that the work has just begun at Taiza and nearby villages where they also enrolled more students into Voice of Prophecy Bible school.

Lingadzi is one of the biggest District in the city of Lilongwe which has five organised churches and eight branches.
