Sixty Youth leaders from eleven zones of the Central Malawi Conference gathered at Lilongwe Central Church from January 15 to 16 for a Training Of Trainers Conference which was organised by the Youth department of the Central Malawi Conference.

The Conference was opened by the youth director for the Central Malawi Conference youth department, Pastor Chancy Mchewere Banda who said the objective of the conference was to impart the trainers with necessary skills and information so that they can confidently train club coordinators in their zones. ‘We want to make sure that our trainers are equipped with uniform information. The conference will empower the trainers to train other trainers thereby strengthening the youth departments in their churches‘, said Pastor Banda.

The youth leaders, who were all master guides were trained in planning and programming, club organisation and fundraising, Effective leadership,

Evangelism strategies and communication.

During the conference,the CMC youth director announced that Comrade Khalani Makunje of Mchesi church is now the new chairman of the executive committee of the CMC youth department.

The Central Malawi Conference Youth department has also organised an In-service Youth training for youth leaders from all churches which will take place from 27 to 29 January at Chatuwa school in Area 18.
