TSANGANO DISTRICT CONDUCTS A BIG SABBATH

Sabbath, 12 September 2020,the congregation of Tsangano Adventist family in Ntcheu District hosted a magnificent big Sabbath program.

The program which was graced by Executive Secretary Pastor Brian Chafunya and Shepherdess Patricia Chafunya from Central Malawi Conference (CMC) took place at Mngoni Community Hall Ground in Tsangano.

Sharing the word of God from the book of Esther under the theme "When there is Savior", Pastor Chafunya narrated the whole story of Esther and his uncle Mordecai who remained faithful to God despite challenges faced in a foreign land.

"If you look at the wise and God fearing Mordecai explained in Esther chapter 1 through 4, you will see that He saved Ahasuerus from those who wanted to harm him. In return, after listening wisely to the appeal of queen Esther and all that Haman had plotted against the Jews, the king promoted Mordecai to be in charge of the affairs at the King's palace", Ps Chafunya said.

Making his appeal to the congregation, the preacher asked as to what people have done to their saviour? Why do people keep sinning yet there is a wonderful saviour? He further asked as to what problems do people have with their saviour that makes them weak, idle and proud?

"I want to assure you that when there is a savior, things change and we become changed to the fullness", the preacher concluded.

Later in the day, during afternoon hours, the congregation was greatly blessed with sweet melodies from various singing groups invited to the program. Lakeview's Last warning spiced the divine hour with soul touching melodies as well as Chimvano quartet leading the afternoon program interchangeably with other groups in praising God.

Remarks from District Pastor Sydney Kumisuku said that he was happy with the presence of the Executive Secretary and family for honoring their big Sabbath program and asked for God's hand to keep guiding his mission as he continues serving the Central Malawi Conference.

Tsangano District has nine Organised Churches and 12 companies and it is bordering communities from Mozambique, Folotiya, Chigome and Dzeza.
