TAMBALALE AMO GEARED TO FINISH CONSTRUCTION OF SATEMA SDA PRAYER HOUSE

In a bid to fulfil the 2021 planned programme of activities, Tambalale AMO on 5th September 2021 was involved in plastering the prayer house which was built at Satema village, Senior Chief Tsabango in Lilongwe.

Satema SDA is a branch of Tambalale SDA Church which is under Chilinde district of the Central Malawi Conference.

Satema Church was opened in the year 2000 through an Effort that was organized by Lilongwe City Zone Dorcas.

Since that time a Church was opened and Christians were congregating in a classroom at Nankhali Junior Primary School.

In 2004- 2005, Chilinde SDA Church purchased land for the branch in the same area.

In Support of the branch which was opened, in 2013 Maranatha through a project called " one day project" built a temporary Shelter using steel poles and the roof was covered with iron sheets.

In 2015, Tambalale SDA AMO launched an idea of supporting Satema branch and the wish was to see Satema members congregating in a well constructed Prayer house thus according to Elder Stanly Chisuse, a leader of Tambalale AMO.

With construction work in progress, Tambalale AMO covered the prayer house's walls with burnt bricks.

In 2021, Tambalale AMO planned to plaster and floor the prayer house.

In order to fulfil the 2021 plans, Tambalale AMO on 5th September, 2021 started to plaster the Prayer house so that members should have a better place where they can pray and give thanks to the Lord.

Plastering work started from inside the Church and the outside will be covered as well. After plastering work is completed, flooring will begin. Women from the area are also supporting the construction work by fetching water.

Upon asked on how he felt after seeing that the work is progressing, Tambalale AMO leader, Elder Stanley Chisuse said " I am very happy that the work is progressing well and it is my wish and the wish of Tambalale AMO to see to it that this Church should be a completed one and be like any other Church."

According to Tambalale AMO leader, members within the department are using their own resources in terms of finance, skills and experience to make sure that the construction work of the Church is completed as expected.

However, though the work is progressing, the AMO leader said that there are some challenges being experienced and he is pleading to well wishers to support towards the completion of Satema Church by contributing the little they might have financially, materially as well as skillfully so that the work of finishing the construction of Satema Church should come to an end
