KIDS CALL FOR ECD SUPPORT AMID COVD 19 PANDEMIC
Kids aged from zero to ten years in Lilongwe have asked parents and other authorities for their spiritual and physical Early Childhood Development (ECD) amid COVID -19 pandemic.
The plea was made on Saturday at Gologota Seventhday Adventist Church when the kids belonging to Adventurers club of Adventist Youth Ministries led all Sabbath programs with a theme "The Great Controversy".
Adventurers club leader Evelyn Amin stressed that parents should not relent in supporting their children to grow in the right path.
Amin also expressed no doubts that the pandemic has exposed children to human rights violations in their homes hence the need for church leadership's intervention in protecting them.
Amin said "Adventurers club focuses on both spiritual and physical life of little children. Today we wanted to remind parents of their responsibilities on early childhood development amid covid -19."
Echoing on this, one of the church elders Damiano Zulumba asked the congregants to join hands in ensuring security of children during this era.
"We thank these children for coming up with a fruitful program. As Church leadership we have noted their concerns and will do something to help them." Zulumba explained.
The kids spiced up their program with Bible verses and music.
