KAMPEPUZA CHURCH YOUTHS COMMENDED FOR CLEAN UP CAMPAIGN.
As part of this year’s Global Youth Day activities, Kampepuza Adventist youth conducted a cleanup exercise at all sections of Kampepuza Market which became very dirty due to litter and garbage.
In his remarks chairperson of Kampepuza Market Estein Mandele said he was thankful to the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) church youths for relieving them of their duties which were beyond control because they have few cleaners.
“I am thankful to the SDA youth for this gesture which has come at the right time when the market was in poor sanitation because we have inadequate cleaners who would not be able to clean the whole market at once as the youth have done God bless the SDA Church,” he explained.
On her part one of the local market vendors Chrissy Kuthakwaanthu highly commended the youth saying ever since the market was opened, no church youth or youth groups had come to clean their market.
“We are so grateful to Kampepuza SDA Church for teaching the youth to do community outreach activities because this is quite commendable training for the youth to become reliable future citizens and this shall go a long way in the history books of the market,” she said.
Global youth Day is church’s initiative in which the youth conduct various community outreach activities such as cheering the sick in hospitals, reaching out to elderly and less privileged people as well as prisons to help them with different items in order to avert some of the challenges they are facing daily.
