IF YOU ARE SENT AND TASKED BY GOD, GO!!
Communities of senior group village Chiwala centered between Chiwoza and Kataira areas have been challenged to follow Christ Alone. The call, was made from 24 July to 5 August 2023, through the presentation of well packed sermons of hope by evangelist Triza Kapiza who served the Lord in a two week long evangelistic effort for Bunda district women Ministries Department.
The optimal level of the evangelistic campaign was witnessed on
Sabbath, 5 August 2023 at Chiwala ground when 22 Souls joined the remnant church, Seventh-day Adventist Church through their acceptance of Biblical baptism of immersion as expressed in Ephesians 4:5.
Speaking to the congregation on the theme " If it's God who sends you to Go work for Him, don't deny the opportunity but if it's the devil reject ", Evangelist Kapiza narrated the story of Jonah in chapters 1,2,3 with the emphasis on the goodness of accepting to work for God without giving more excuses and think negatively.
" If you think that you can run away from God, you are just deceiving yourselves. Follow God's instructions and do what is best of Him who saved us from death, Jesus ", Kapiza appealed.
Appreciating on the goodness of the Lord, Ps Enerst Mwale, Central Malawi Conference Ministerial Secretary who presided the baptism expressed his gratitude to Bunda District Dorcas Leadership for the job well done.
"With love, gentle care and reasonable handling of these newly baptised baby members, we shall be able to preserve and see them grow in the church till Christ second return. don't let anyone of these get lost due to our carelessness", Mwale added.
Remarks from Senior group Chiwala centered on strengthening the newly baptised converts while advising them not to put on shame the name of the Lord through their return to evil deeds but rather remain faithful forever and be in good standing with the church.
At the end of the effort five village heads were issued with brand-new Chichewa Bibles as a token of appreciation for allowing the effort lively conducted in their territory.
