GO YE AND WORK FOR THE LORD: CMC CHARGES THREE NEW MASTER GUIDES AT KR CHURCH
The Central Malawi Conference (CMC) Youth Department has charged three new invested Master guides, Chisomo Ngomba, Chikondi Jamali, and Jane Chitsulo at Kamuzu Road (KR) church in Salima to continue working for the Lord.
The remarks were made by Master Guide Rodgers Timuka Shamavu, who is the CMC Adventist Youth (AY) Associate Pathfinder Director, when he graced the first ever master guide investiture at the church on 13 August 2022.
Comrade Shamavu in his divine service from Mathews 28:18-19, advised the new Master guides that they have a big role to play other than just gaining the title. He said we all have one common work to do which is to tell the world that the kingdom of God is at hand.
“My fellow Master guides, you are not invested for decoration. You are not invested for people to see that you are looking good. But you are being invested so that Jesus Christ should be praised, and that His name should be known everywhere you go. ”He said.
He however bemoaned those that have relaxed in working for God because of worldly personal gains.
As the world’s demography is growing, Shamavu pointed that we should also realize that the work for God is growing hence we must use the time left wisely.
“Let us not be afraid of working for the Lord. Let us not be concerned about baptizing people. We should be more concerned about telling them that the kingdom of God is at hand using the three Angels message”, he said.
In his remarks, Pastor Joshua Ben Zilinde while thanking God for making the function a success. He congratulated the invested Master guides for the achievement. He also challenged those that are 16 years and above to join the master guide class.
He however encouraged the new Master guides to continue working for the Lord and be mentors to others.
“There are many who were invested to be Master guides but they decided to stay away from their work. As you are becoming mentors todays, help others also to make this achievement. ”He said.
Chikondi Jamali who was among the invested said going forward he expects to mentor those still in classes to graduate more master guides.
He also expects that the Youth ministry will grow in the branches too.
Present at the function were CMC Youth department officers, Master guides Kondwani Msiska, Boston Chapata, Dickson Sithole,Paul Chakhaza and Salima Youth department officers, Wellington Namwali, Mathews Malunga and several other Master guides from the district.
Master guide investiture is done to someone who has gone through the training in pathfinder leadership.
