Churches Get Revived By 2019 Youth Week of Prayer

Every year, Youth of the Seventh Day Adventist church conduct youth week of prayers in the month of March and this year's theme was Aspects of the Local Church.

The youth week of prayer started on March 17 and ended on March 23. The Central Malawi Conference Youth department dispatched Pastors and other leaders to all churches to During this period,Pastors and other Youth leaders are dispatched in all churches to conduct the Youth Week Of Prayer.


Kaphatenga church in Salima had its youth week of prayer and Master Guide Amos Mazunda who is also president for the Lay Preachers Association carried the week with full gospel.

On Sabbath, the congregation dedicated itself to God following the sermon delivered on a theme, 'an invitation to the wedding ceremony.'



Mazunda invited everyone to the great feast that God has prepared for the saints.

After the sermon, the church declared that they have benefited a lot from the youth week of prayer because the preacher ably hit all the angles of spiritual life.


Chipasula church also had a great and amazing youth week of prayer.

The preacher Master Guide Chinseu who was preaching throughout the entire week preached on Sabbath on the Marriage supper and he read from revelation 19:7-9, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 and John 14:1-4.

Chinseu emphasized on the preparation for the coming of Jesus Christ.

" As Christians, we need to be prepared as people who want to get married. They prepare themselves before the actual day of the wedding, so the same as Christians, we need to get prepared for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ," said Chinseu.


At Kamuzu Barracks church,Pastor Dr.Ernest Khonje told the youth to make use of the talents which God gave them. Some of the talents which the youths showed were songs, poems, verses and many others.

Area 30 church also joined the activity and the preacher was Dr Chitsa Banda.

It came as a surprise when Dr Banda stood in front of the congregation before the divine service and he was giving prizes to those who were coming every day to meeting.


"I would like to thank all those who have been coming this week, the weather was not good most evenings but some people braved the weather and attended our meetings as such I would like to motivate them," said Dr Banda.

About 50 people received the gifts which were in form of health books, Ellen G White books and Dorcus song book and some received musical DVDs together with the books.


The youth week of prayer involved all the churches in the central Malawi Conference and in some churches the week ended with youth inductions into new classes.
