BILILA DISTRICT COMMEMORATES WORLD PATHFINDER DAY




Pathfinders from different churches in Bilila SDA District gathered at Namadidi Seventh-day Adventist Church at Bawi Stores in Ntcheu on 21st September,2024 to commemorate the World Pathfinder Day .


Bilila District Youth Ministries Coordinator, Master Guide George Mavuto described the day as a very special occasion as the world-wide club was celebrating 74 years of existence. He encouraged the youth to joyfully serve the Lord Jesus Christ.


Talandira Chikafa from Bilira Church preached on strong faith in camping with Jesus while Webster Said from Lodge Church preached on how love and faith are essential in navigating our life paths. He also urged the congregation to be faithful and strive to reach their final destination, Jesus' Kingdom.


Monica Joseph, a 15 year-old pathfinder described the occasion as memorable and urged fellow Pathfinders to be faithful and courageous when doing God's work.


Lasten Yohane, Pathfinder Director of Bawi Church considered the event as precious, emphasising the importance of emulating Jesus' Christ actions.


Bilira District Pathfinder Director, Isaiah Chakuuma said that the programme aimed at encouraging Pathfinders to camp with Jesus in their daily activities under the theme "Jesus Camps with You".


The World Pathfinder Day is a Seventh-day Adventist Church programme that targets the youth ages 10-15 with a focus on spiritual growth, community service and skill development. The club has about two million members worldwide. Pathfinder Day is an event that falls on the third Sabbath of September yearly.
