Fourteen people surrendered their lives to Christ on Sabbath, 3rd November 2018 following a crusade which was organised by Kasungu zone youths at Dete village, Malomo in Ntchisi. The crusade which started on the 21st of October, closed on the 3rd November 2018. The main preacher at the effort was Pastor Brighton Ngalande who was assisted by Comrade Willan Kamangoro Mkandawire, zone coordinator for Kasungu.

Pastor Ngalande conducted baptism on the day which saw village headman Dete, accepting Christ as his Lord and personal saviour as well.

Zone sponsor, Elder Willie Chimbetete Gama commended the youths for the job well done in the area. "I am extremely happy with Kasungu Seventh-day youths. You really showed a good example to other youths out there. Continue serving the Lord until He comes shortly" said Chimbetete Gama.

The youths also distributed assorted items to villagers of who attended the crusade including the elderly worthy K53,500. Items like soap, sugar, salt, and clothes were distributed to villagers. Among the recipients was a 102 years old gogo Mgugu Chibweya whom the youth cheered. Narrating the secret of his long life, with difficulties Chibweya said, "Fearing the Lord is my secret. I've never drunk beers, smoked nor womanized before". The youths gave the old man packets of sugar, salt and a jacket.

"I am speechless, I have never seen a loving church like this one. May God continue helping you people, and now I can't hesitate but to join you together with my entire family”, said Dete.
