CMC MASTERGUIDES HOLD FIRST CONVENTION
Central Malawi Conference MasterGuides have been urged to read intensively in order to be successful.
The call was made by the Southern - Africa Indian Ocean Division Youth Director,Pastor Busi Khumalo on Sunday 14th May,2017 at the First MasterGuide convention which took place at Nalikule College of Education from 12th May to 15th May,2017.
" I urge you Masterguides to develop a reading culture.Most fameous successfull people are great readers.They spend many hours reading books.They read,reflect and experiment. You have to do the same if you are to succeed.Read the Bible,Spirit Of Prophecy and other books." Pastor Khumalo said.
The convention,which drew together one hundred and fourty delegates from various zones,was officially opened on Friday evening by the president of the Central Malawi Conference,Pastor John Phiri.
Pastor Phiri opened the convention with a powerful sermon tittled,”Give Me This Mountain” which was also the theme of the convention.He urged the Masterguides to live a holy life for them to claim the mountain. " As Masterguides you have got your own mountain and these are the challenges that you face everyday.I urge you to overcome them ".
The Malawi Union Youth Director,Dr.Elfis Luwani,Youth Directors from the South and North Malawi Fields Pastor Alfred Kilembe and Pastor ADV Moyo were also available at the convention.The main Convention Speaker was Pastor Wright from Blantyre.Several Pastors from the Central Malawi Conferece attended the convention too.
Speaking on behalf of other delegates,Comrade Mtupanyama hailed the organizers for the successful convention. “Comrade Mtupanyama,speaking on behalf of all comrades said,
"We have really benefitted at this conference. Almost all Facilitators came and gave out their best.The convention gave us a chance to interact and share ideas as masterguides”.He said.
Delegates at the convention conducted a parliamentary session dubbed “ A House Of Comrades’ for the first time in the CMC history and comrade Rodgers Chilemba was the speaker of the House. Leader of the house was Khalani Makunje and the President was Ps Mchewere Banda who opened the house with the State of the Youth Ministry address in which he announced the introduction of the new curriculum of the Masterguide examinations which will roll out this year.
There were “Ministers” who presented reports and “Members of Parliament” representing their constituencies.
Central Malawi Conference Youth Director,Pastor Chancy Mchewere Banda thanked the pastors and delegates for attending the convention.
"I promise you that good things are still coming,I hope this will be an annual event,and we will make sure that every year we should be coming up with a variety of programmes”.
Several resolutions were made and adopted at the convention.
