Pastor Jones Chimbwanda Weds Tadala Moyo

Pastor Jones Chimbwanda previously ministerning at Saiwa church of Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) in Ntcheu currently transfered to Mchezi SDA church got married to his sweetheart Tadala Moyo on April 30th, 2017 in Salima.

The wedding ceremony at Salima SDA Church started at 9:00am with a word of prayer which was given by Elder Eliphaz Chimwala. Then minutes later the bridal party marched in together with the Central Malawi Conference President Pastor John Phiri who was the officiating Pastor of the special day. The church was filled with smiling faces from friends and family who came to witness the union between the two.

Pastor John Phiri recognised Pastor Mchewere Banda, CMC Youth and Music Director and Pastor J Gumbala CMC Executive Secretary who led the congregation in singing hymn song # 195 'Pakakhala Chikondi (Love at Home)' and a prayer respectively.

Pastor Phiri read scripture from the books of Psalm 127:1-2 & Ephesians 5:22-33. He spoke to The couple about the "Reciprocal law of Love" which he said "do to your spouse what you want her or him do to you...don't call your spouse "selfish" otherwise you'll only be proving that you are selfish."

He continued to speak about the importance of putting God first and as the only other third party in their relationship. "It is not a question of skill, theological knowledge or anything that a happy and strong marriage can be achieved...it is a question of the presence of God in the marriage equation...if God does not build anything, no architect, no expert or Skillman can do it, the fall of the Twin towers in America proves it so well...even with the best security machinery, America was defenseless..." He said.

There was a mammoth attendance of seventeen Pastors and their Shepherdesses who witnessed the divine call with happiness. Ps John Phiri described Jones as a well educated young man (a graduate) who holds a Bachelors in Theology, he continued to congratulate Tadala for a right choice she made in choosing Jones as her lifetime partner and that by accepting Jones she is accepting his ministry altogther. Vows were said and thereafter Pastor Gumbala, Pastors Bowa (CMC Chief Finance Officer) Pastor Mchewere Banda and Pastor Chiwamba ( Salima District) joined the couple in prayer.

The afternoon ceremony was at Asante Gardens were the newly wedded couple togther with their friends and family who travelled from the Northern, Central and Southern regions celebrated the union made before God. Pastor Chiwamba and his wife were the leading couple of the day.

Pastor Jones's dear friends, the Young Pastors as they are called; Pastor Banda (Serving at Maligunde District) Pastor Mfune (Serving at Area 3 District) and Pastor Mpinganjira (Serving at Chipoka District) were amongst the joyous crowd.

Proverbs 18:22 "He who finds a wife finds a good thing, And obtains favor from the Lord".

Congratulations to the Chimbwanda family, May the good Lord bless your marriage and Your ministry all the days of your lives.
