Tambalare Church inaugurates AY classes
Tambalare SDA church in Lilongwe had its Adventist Youth (AY) induction and investiture on Sabbath 25th February 2017. The ceremony was presided over by Comrade Luke Innocent who was delegated by CMC Youth Director, Pastor Mchewere Banda.
By the time the ceremony was about to commerce in the afternoon the church was almost full. This was exciting for those taking part in the investiture; it showed the support given by the church.
The program began with presenting to the congregation two comrades, Comrade Patrick Muleya and Comrade Harold Mpinganjira, who were invested as Master Guides on 17th December, 2016, at Area 3 church. The two comrades were very excited to have been presented to the congregation.
After presenting the two comrades, the investiture of Adventurers and Pathfinders proceeded where over twenty candidates in different achievements received pins and certificates. Mr. B. Window from Tambalare Church emerged the highest scorer of Chilinde District. He scored 75% in Guide class, he was presented with a gift from the organizing team. This was a way to motivate others who have enrolled for classes to work hard and shine at the end.
Before the program came to an end, there was candle lighting signifying the inauguration of AY classes at Tambalare church and its four branches. Over seventy candidates have enrolled for achievement classes in 2017.
The function was graced by Ps E Dawatu (rtd) and Chilinde District Coordinator Comrade Dan Mkundi.
