Lilongwe City Zone Children Ministries Gears for the New Year



The Lilongwe City Zone Children's Ministry on 8th January organised a get together for all coordinators of 2016 and 2017 at Falls SDA Church. Over thirty five coordinators attended the function. Executive Secretary for CMC Pastor J.E.N Gumbala and Shepherdess Gumbala gr


aced the function together with Pastor Kamgoma from Falls Church, Pastor Dingani Mfune from Area 3 Church and the Secretary for Women and Children's department Mrs Patricia Miseu among others. Apart from assessing how the 2016 unfolded, elections for City Zone Coordinators were held. Shepherdess Gumbala encouraged all coordinators to take charge, work as a team and in unison with the gospel of Jesus Christ. She shared the words of God from the book of Psalm 133 v 1 - 3 which says, 'behold how good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity’. “As coordinators let's dwell together to help our children and show them love in their daily life”, said Shepherdess Gumbala. Much as there are over 78 churches in Lilongwe city zone, only 22 churches were granted Certificates of Excellence for outstanding performance and commitment in the year 2016.

Pastor Dingani Mfune and other departments were also granted the award of excellence for a job well done in 2016. Secretary for the City Zone, Mrs Grace Mazunda, said the recognition of excellent work for some churches and individuals would motivate other coordinators to be committed and work hard in 2017. The following individuals were elected; Mrs Wezzie Kaunda- new Associate Director for CMC as well as Chairperson for City Zone and Ernest Saidi Vice Chairperson, secretary is Grace Mazunda and treasure is Mrs Stephama Filipino while Matron is Shepherdess Tsoka and Patron is Ps D Mfune. According to Pastor Kangoma, more is expected in 2017 for the Children’s Ministry Department to continue to be vibrate and bring more children to Christ‘s feet.
