Kawale Church Conducts Master Guide Investiture
Sabbath day 7th January 2017 saw the culmination of a year long program; the Master Guides training program for Kawale SDA youth. Seven proud Master Guides In-Training filed in to the traditional slow march.
Comrade Pastor Dr. Elfis Luwani presided the investiture and expressed his satisfaction at the rigor and deepest dedication the graduates demonstrated through out the training. Dr Luwani reminded the new comrades to walk and talk like the Master guide Jesus Christ. He urged the new soldiers in Christ to live exemplary life in everything they do.
The program’s participants were a mixture of Master Guides already invested and the trainees. Six ladies and a male assumed the accolade of a comrade: Henry Lozani, Elizabeth Banda, Eunice Kopa, Mwayi Zenengeya, Caroline Mayinga, Beatrice Matope and Marta Malunga.
The ceremony saw two other master guides receiving high leadership awards: Comrade Vivien Aimabley being awarded with Pathfinder Leadership Award while Comrade Nelson Msiska Advanced Pathfinder Leadership Award.
According to Comrade Nelson Msiska,
75% of the global Seventh Day Adventist membership is in Youth age bracket. Therefore he encouraged fellow youth to strive to pursue, study and finish all available awards in Youth Ministries.
The colourful event was witnessed by officials from Malawi Union Conference and Central Malawi Conference: Comrade Harlod Chisale, Comrade Martha Banda and Comrade Nasho.
Meanwhile, Area 49 SDA Church will be conducting a similar program on 14th January 2017, where more young and dynamic Adventists will be recognized for their achievement in accomplishing the master guide training. Henry Kopa, CMC Communications
