Rukshana Kunkanga

Women, Children & Communications Director

Rukshana was born and raised in a Muslim family.  She was baptised in the Adventist church in May 1996.  She is happily married to Harold Kunkanga who contributed a lot for her to become an Adventist. Not for once did he force her to join the church but took his time to teach her about Adventism. They are blessed with 3 children and two grand daughters.

Prior to her appointment as the Central Malawi Conference Women,Children’s and Communications Director;  she has served the Lord in several capacities in the church as Dorcas leader/secretary at Church, District and Zone level ; Deaconess;  Sabbath School Superintendent and Secretary; Church Clerk, and several other positions.

She loves doing God’s work as it is the only way she can show her appreciation for what the Lord has done in her life.  She is a living testimony of God’s miracles in the present time.  Her wish is to see a lot of women and children taking their time to serve the Lord and get involved in spreading the gospel.

We nurture and empower the Adventist woman to grow spiritually through bible studies; prayer groups and trainings that would help to fight illiteracy amongst us as it is one of our challenges.

Our department is encouraging all women to get involved in evangelism in order to reach out with God and also take part in fulfilling the mission of the world church.

Apart from sharing the gospel women have been involved in several other charity work like building houses for the needy and providing whatever they can to those in need.
